5 Coats to Brighten up Your Winter

Coat weather is upon us, at least here in NYC. My royal blue/cobalt coat has been keeping me warm for the past two weeks. It's my favorite coat - the cocoon shape is so classic yet so modern, and the bold, blue color just makes me happier during dull winter days. If somebody asked me what was one thing they should buy for this winter, undoubtedly, I would say: get a bright-colored coat! Find the color that flatters you the best and forget about neutrals.
Below you can find some inspirational images of bright coats and different options available on the market.
Go ahead - be colorful this winter ;)

Recap: Summer Favorites

The fall is here and we can't deny it anymore. Today is pretty chilly in NYC, and I'm looking forward to those warm days of Indian summer before the cold weather sets in. It seems absurd to talk about summer at this point but I just want to do a quick recap of my favorite looks this summer.

I attended several weddings, and this outfit was definitely my favorite. This dress with it's retro silhouette and beautiful green floral print made a perfect combination with these bright coral satin pumps. And if I had to choose one dress to define myself - this would be it! (and thanks to Murka for photo bombing this picture)
Outfit details: Dress Asos, Shoes J.Crew Every Satin Pumps, Vintage clutch, J.Crew bracelet

For casual summer days these were my top favorite looks: a breezy top + light skirt, and a maxi dress. I definitely adhered to my own recommendations from this post in the beginning of summer :)  I must add that blue+green combo was my favorite this season.
Shirt+skirt outfit: Shirt via TjMaxx, Skirt J.Crew, Shoes Sam Edelman via Nordstrom, Necklace Anthropologie, Bag from Nordstrom
Dress outfit: Dress Anthropologie, shoes Steve Madden via TjMaxx

And the last outfit I want to share is from my recent trip to Puerto Rico. This is the only time this skirt made the appearance this summer but it was perfect for wandering around the colorful streets of old San Juan!

Memorial Day in the park

The weather this Memorial Day was just perfect: not too hot with a gentle breeze. So my friend Gina and I got an idea to go to Central Park (like hundreds of other new yorkers, of course). We spent a  lovely late afternoon laying on the grass, enjoying sunshine, fresh air (as fresh as it can be in New York), and music sung by a strange angel lady (oh NYC...). Also Gina and me just can't hang out without taking at least a single picture, and this time we took a lot! I'm excited to share some pictures of my outfit that day, which is one of my favorite go-to summer outfits: a light top, breezy maxi skirt, comfortable sandals with a little golden heel, and a denim jacket for cooler evenings.

This time in the park was just so lovely that we made a resolution to have more picnics outside this summer. I hope all of you had a great weekend and I hope you'll enjoy your summer outside as well.
